BENNETT HOMES’ SPONSORSHIP BUILDS THE STAGE – SO ALL’S WELL…

The Shropshire Drama Company has secured a second part sponsor for their forthcoming Shakespeare production at Much Wenlock Festival.

Established over 40 years ago and building traditional homes throughout Shropshire and mid Wales, Bennett Homes, who are based in Dorrington near Shrewsbury, have agreed to sponsor the stage design for Shropshire Drama Company’s performance of All’s Well That Ends Well.

With concept and design by Condover-born set designer, Celia Garrard and construction, painting and finishing by the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, Ken Allden, co-director of the play, is delighted. He said: “The ability to off-set costs through yet another sponsor will enable us to invest in other areas of the production and to present a show that is even more stunning for our audiences. Businesses such as Bennett Homes who support the work of the Company recognise the value of win-win partnerships that can be achieved by being associated with us. We deliver top quality arts to the people of Shropshire and neighbouring regions and it is gratifying to have that recognised by partnerships with increasing numbers of local businesses.”

Lynne Bennett, company secretary for Bennett Homes, said: “The stage design is magnificent! It’s a pleasure to support Shropshire Drama Company and not only do we wish them every success, but look forward to bringing our friends and colleagues to see All’s Well That Ends Well”.

Tickets for All’s Well That Ends Well at Holy Trinity Church Green from 12 to 17 June are priced at £10 (£8 concessions) Monday to Thursday, £12 Friday (no concessions) and £14 Saturday (no concessions) and available through the website at www.muchwenlockfestival.co.uk .

Interested parties may contact Ken Allden on 01952 510344 for an informal discussion about potential sponsorship of SDC productions.
